Oko by Oko PARIS @ OPTRAFAIR 2011

Oko by Oko Paris, now lovingly known as “The Turtle” was created 8 years ago by 3 opticians in the very heart of Paris, The Marais, who were tired and bored of where the eyewear market was going, so undertook to create something special, Oko by Oko, Kidoko and Moko Besicles.

They’re passionate about bridging fashion and eyewear, and want it to be usable and functional, with their take on Parisian style.

The acetate and metal collections are a big hit in France and are now also breaking through to other countries in Europe and beyond into The USA, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Hong Kong and Japan.

Oko have recently introduced the lightweight and feminine model DYS5-02 to its new premium line. The company described the design as a mixture of soft, vivid colours, with the brand’s trademark turtle image digitally printed on the acetate temples in an understated way, depicting motion. The Paris-designed model is made in Italy and features a bronze front with acetate temples.
