BRAND CULTURE & PHILOSOPHY…
Breaking away from the notion of luxury which is outward looking and upfront, some individuals are seeking the kind of luxury which offers a degree of rarity, an emotional luxury.
The controlled low-key effects are concealed or revealed in half-tones so as not to be overpowering. Simple forms, minimalist lines, sophisticated materials, exclusive styles, all are aimed at intellectualising the kind of luxury which keeps a low profile.
In-house designer for the MOKO Besicles brand, David BEDDOK is mastering this art of compromise and controlled discretion. No indiscretion.

To focus on sharp, unfussy designs to liberate luxury from its excess, this is the leitmotiv of this designer who claims an extremely pure aesthetics very purist and minimalist.

With the specific touch of David BEDDOK, the MOKO frames adopt an airy transparency emphasised by a metallic line for the frame or colour for the ear socks to make them stand out. Or they display the one-piece and monochrome sobriety of a beautiful object adorning the face.

« Since its creation in 2008, the MOKO Besicles brand from the MOKO France company, has allowed many people to give a new dimension to their vision thanks to the ‘avant-gardiste’, to the permanent innovation and to the constant know-how from the French manufactures. And we need 6 different production sites to make the brand exist ! It is key for us to conceive and produce those frames 100% ‘Made in France’, unique and timeless. » has declared Philippe ZEITOUN, General Manager & Co-founder MOKO France.

MOKO Besicles has always been supporting the 100% ‘Made in France’ production and more specifically 100% ‘Made in Jura’ – cradle of the eyewear know-how. Cradle of the most prestigious manufacturers. High end. Qualitative. Pure design, innovation and technology.

« This is a true technical partnership that immediately settled between us and those factories in Jura. A big research and development collaboration was evident for both sides to put back the French manufacturing processes and factories on stage under the spot lights in front of all the eyewear industry. Our partners have also developped for us specific manufacturing tools for our products and corresponding to their technical specificities. MOKO is a real French « success story » explains David BEDDOK, Designer & Co-founder MOKO France.

The most popular sun protection filters are shades of brown, grey or green tints and these are classified into 5 categories which facilitate identifying the recommended use of each one: 0 to 2 is for cosmetic use; category 3 is for general use; and 4 is intended for special use. Furthermore, if they are polarized lenses, they help to reduce the glare from the light, eliminating reflections from flat surfaces such as asphalt on roads, water, sand, ice and snow.

In any case, the colour of the glass combined with a filter function and appropriate use, mean you can control the solar radiation to which your vision is exposed. Therefore, it is recommended that sunglasses are only bought from opticians. Opticians are able to give you advice when you buy your sunglasses and they guarantee the minimum requirements of visual quality, complying with European law.

Monoqool is at Silmo 2011

About Monoqool

Monoqool was born global. The company is based on Japanese technology and Danish design. It was created in Japan and Denmark by two Danes with a lifetime of experience doing business in both countries. The brand is targeting a global audience and was the first sales samples were shown in September 2009 at the annual trade fair SILMO in Paris.

Monoqool was established in 2008 by two Danes with a vision of bringing new technology, design and fashion into the modern eyeglass industry. The mission was to use the best from the two worlds: To combine Japanese craftsmanship and technology with Danish design and an innovative mindset.

The innovative foundation was to create something new and spectacular. The result was two new concepts: A new signature hinge and a line of designed and fashionable eyeglasses with a three-dimensional effect.

With the spiral hinge in Helix the company has not only got itself a significant and visible signature but also presented the industry with a major new invention. The spiral is a patented invention, which changes the whole concept of the eyeglass hinge. HELIX is designed by the Danish design duo – Tools Design, who won more than 200 international design awards and distinctions.

All products are being exclusively produced in Sabae in Fukui Prefecture in Western Japan. Japan is a world leader in the eyeglass-industry, and Sabae is one of the largest manufacturing centers of eyeglass frames in Japan building on a sophisticated and highly skilled base of small specialized manufacturers.

The product line Twins is based on advanced technical features as well. A two layer frame build in exact angles leaves a 3-D impression in various colors and textures. This line is designed by Danish designer Karina Mencke.

Gaudi Concept

Gaudi Concept

Gaudí Concept marks the difference in your life. It is the definitive vision tool, it caresses your features, it enhances the best of your personality and always speaks well of you.
Exquisitely designed, respecting the materials during its manufacturing and taking care of the tiniest detail, this frame is the result of a requirement: to be able to offer you quality, comfort and image.
It is also the result of an exploration in which architecture, a three-dimensional nature, ornamental sobriety and lightness and structure come together in a design which takes you into account.
We are creators and we come from the most varied disciplines. At Gaudí Concept we converge to design and produce these comfortable, unique glasses which enhance your image and seem to be made to measure.
We work in Barcelona for the whole world and the list of our references is eclectic and changing. Although there is always one name among them, Gaudí, which evokes a visionary dream of pure creation.
We work for people with personality, or those who wish to flee from conventionalism and transgress what is imposed by brand names and trends. We aim to go beyond the concept of ophthalmic frames imposed by fashion: insipid and insubstantial, conceptually dull, run-of-the-mill and standard.
We do not trust either the alleged creators who are more interested in money than in their job, or the snobbism of inventing for invention’s sake.

with fuchsia, orange or yellow on the sides and the interior. The collection is
